Android Powered Rugged Phone, Bluebird Pidion BIP-600, Is Here!

The maker of ultra-rugged handheld computer, SDG, today announced a new super-rugged phone powered by Android – Bluebird Pidion BIP-600. SDG has been a big fan of Windows Mobile, and their Bluebird line up is all powered by Windows Mobile. This time, SDG decided to load their new BIP-6000 with Android 1.5 instead of Windows Mobile 6.5. SDG promised that the BIP-6000 will get “2.x” upgrade either this quarter or next. This super-rugged phone has Marvell PXA320 806MHz processor, GSM / HSDPA network support, 3-megapixel digital camera, barcode scanner, full QWERTY keyboard, and a 3.5-inch VGA screen.
