April 18, 2008- Apple is creating something new… and different. This new accessory for iPhone allow users a more pleasurable viewing experience when watching movies on their iPhones. The video quality for iPhones is actually pretty good already, but with such a small screen, there is always room for improvement. It is even rumored that in time, users will be able to view full HD movies on the iPhones. Sound quality is also getting better and better. However, the problem that remains is the size on the screen. No matter what the picture quality, a small screen will be hard to view no matter what. Thus comes Apple’s newest brainstorm.
Apple is in the patent application process for the design and creation of a laser based head mounted display for an Apple iPod or iPhone. This device will utilize optical elements and light to generate a large display for users to view while enjoying their Apple products. He design features a box that can be clipped to the user’s belt so as to avoid a lot of bulk on the headset itself. Then, an optical cable will run from the box to the head mount in order to generate an image in front of the user’s eyes. Since the optical display can be made no more than 2 mm thin and the device could be engineered to be no larger than a pair of glasses, this innovation is a real possibility.

This new product that is in the works from Apple could offer users an opportunity for a whole new experience.
