Apple has been so successfully in marketing and making the world’s best selling MP3 player, iPod. Right now, with so many cellular phones have the capabilities of storing and playing MP3 song tracks, Apple starts to realize that her market share in MP3 player industry won’t last long as more and more consumers will not spend extra money to buy MP3 players as they already have cellular phones that can play MP3 players.
So, like speculation of everybody, to enter cell phone industry market is a good choice for Apple. But, until now, we haven’t have a confirmed news about the plan of Apple. The latest rumor is Apple is going to join force with RIM in manufacturing “AppleBerry” phones.
According to Peter Misek, an analyst with Canaccord Capital Inc, the deal makes sense, as each company has what the other lacks - RIM wants access to the consumer market and Apple wants in on the wireless data sector, he said.
I personally would love to see this happen as these two companies have strengths in different area, and if they do join force together, we as consumers are going to be beneficial. Imagine that you have a cellular phone that have the office functionalities of a BlackBerry cell phone and also with high quality output sounds system of and iPod MP3 Player. What will it be ?
