March 12, 2008 - Online games have become very popular over the past few years and have grown so quickly, many providers’ heads are left spinning. It is not surprising that more and more games and applications are becoming available for online access via your handset. This week, Bandai Networks has announced that they are now offering custom mobile services based on their popular Gundam character through an Avatar platform. Now you can not only manage your Avatars on your computer or game console, now users have an option to take with them everywhere for entertainment when they have a free minute.
Users will now be able to create their own Avatar characters, choosing initially from their default character options: “Mobile Soldier Gundam,” “Gundam SEED DESTINY,” and “Fmofmo.” These characters can be used across several carriers other then the Au one portal destinations. Once you have chosen an initial character, uers can customize their character to look more like themselves, perhaps. Options such as facial features, hairstyles, and clothes, to name a few, can be customized to change the appearance of the Avatar characters.

Once the custom Avatars are created and saved they can be used to play games and interact in an online Avatar community. Avatars can compete in fashion contests, for instance. Avatars can also be used as templates for mobile “deco-mail” or even used as a user’s customized profile image for several sites such as “Au one blog” and “Au one My Page.”
Membership fees are very affordable at $3 - 4 per month. Services include background and wallpaper options as well as Avatar features.
