NTT DoCoMo in Japan suspended the sales of BlackBerry Bold because the phone is overheating. There are more than 30 customers of NTT Docomo experienced overheating issue that the Bold’s keyboard area had heated up.

RIM said that it is looking into the matter even though the company believes the temperatures appear to have “remained within the safety range of regulatory standards.”

“This issue appears to be specifically limited to the BlackBerry Bold devices sold in Japan since last week,” the company said. “And sales of BlackBerry Bold devices in other countries are unaffected by this matter.

This is another blunder for RIM besides the BlackBerry Storm, its first touchscreen phone that is proven to be buggy and clumsy. If your BlackBerry Bold has overheating issues, please return your phone to carrier, and also leave your comments here please.
