RIM and AT&T present the BlackBerry Pearl 8110

April 24, 2008- The makers of BlackBerry, RIM, are getting ready to launch their newest version of the BlackBerry Pearl: the Pearl 8110 with GPS capabilities that include easy navigation maps and audible step by step directions. AT&T and Research in Motion (RIM) have teamed up to bring users this new innovation that supports location based services that will keep users in the road they mean to be on! With turn by turn directions and an audible guide, users will be able to find their way easily without having to look down at the map and try to figure out where they are going, where they are, and where they have come from. The AT&T Navigator also provides users with other useful travel information such as traffic slowdowns, accidents, and then provides users with alternate routes that they can accept of reject accordingly.

The BlakBerry 8110 also features email and instant messaging capabilities to keep users connected while the AT&T Navigator application keeps users on track. The new BlackBerry model measures 4.2 x 2.4 x 0.5 inches and weighs 3.2 ounces, so it is conveniently sized for carrying with you on daily errands. It is available in a glossy titanium finish or a rich red finish, whichever is the users’ preference when they purchase it. The QWERTY style keyboard, complete with word completion and spell-checker abilities, makes text messaging and entering destination into Navigator a quick and easy task.

Users can also access YELLOWPAGES.com and download the application for free, a first in BlackBerry smartphones. Using the YELLOWPAGES application, users will be able to find local business and then map them with AT&T Navigator. This great new smartphone will be available for $149.99 with a two year agreement and a $39.99 voice plan.
