Motorola in Taiwan announced MOTORAZR2 V8 and V9, the second generation of V-series Razor phone which sells like hot cakes in the world. The hot-out-of-oven MotorolaRAZR2 V8 is designed to run on GSM networks and is powered by Linux / JAVA (What a great news for Open Source Supporter!). One shocking fact is that the RAZR2 is slimmer than the 1st generation of RAZR by 2mm. So, if you think your RAZR is slim, let’s wait till you see the 2nd generation of RAZR. The other nice changes are a bigger external color screen (2-inch) that displays battery level, pictures and title of music that is playing, and definitely incoming caller’s picture.

Talking about buil-in digital camera, the RAZR2 flip phone is kind of disappointing as it only comes with a 2.0-MegaPixel digital camera with 8X. Besides that, the RAZR2 also features a brand new User Inteface (UI) that makes finding contacts task a lot easier.
On the other hand, the Motorola RAZR2 V9 is designed to operate in 3G network. It supports lightning fast HSDA 3.6 Mbps download speed and video conferencing features.
Like, those of you who are living in United States, can only pray that the new RAZR2 will be offered by sluggish carriers very soon.
