AT&T Offers Contest to Colleges Nationwide

April 14, 2008 - With technology of all kinds becoming more and more integrated into the daily life of all citizens of the world, college campuses nationwide are getting on board with this latest and more widely used method of information transfer. AT&T has also begun work to incorporate mobile technologies into the college experience. The AT&T Corporation announced a few weeks ago that that have holding a contest for college goers to develop an application for college students and faculty members, both groups can compete as well. Students and faculty have been asked to design some application that can help college goers get more out of their college and mobile experience together.
There are three categories that designers can create their application for. 1) Social networking, 2) Academics, and 3) Safety and security. For example, some college campuses already offer free security updates to subscribing phones to let students and faculty know when there are safety concern on campus or when certain buildings are closed.
