Two of the world’s top mobile product and software companies are teaming up to bring new innovations to their brands of cell phones. SAP and RIM are joining forces to offer users SAP software on the RIM BlackBerry. The first of these programs to be offered for the BlackBerry is SAP’s CRM application, which is a customer relationship program. They are hoping that the software will be available to users within a few months.

RIM and AT&T present the BlackBerry Pearl 8110

April 24, 2008- The makers of BlackBerry, RIM, are getting ready to launch their newest version of the BlackBerry Pearl: the Pearl 8110 with GPS capabilities that include easy navigation maps and audible step by step directions. AT&T and Research in Motion (RIM) have teamed up to bring users this new innovation that supports location based services that will keep users in the road they mean to be on! With turn by turn directions and an audible guide, users will be able to find their way easily without having to look down at the map and try to figure out where they are going, where they are, and where they have come from. The AT&T Navigator also provides users with other useful travel information such as traffic slowdowns, accidents, and then provides users with alternate routes that they can accept of reject accordingly.

Together they have made QuickPlay’s Open Video the first media platform to support XM Radio Mobile. The service will be universally available on select RIM Blackberry smartphomes. With the ability to run on most major mobiles service providers’ networks, the service will allow users to access 20 exclusive XM channels featuring commercial free streaming music. This service will be available for just $7.99 per month, of course a 24 hour free trial will also be available for all to try out.

March 31, 2008- The RIM BlackBerry 9000 is the newest version of BlackBerry on the market. The BlackBerry 9000 has also been refered to as the new 3.5G BlackBerry. This new design from RIM features a QWERTY style keyboard that is standard for most BlackBerry designs as well as the track ball navigation system that allows user to find their way through menus and options quickly and easy. The screen is a large clear screen that that will make picture and option viewing convenient and fun. However, a new innovation with this handset is the slide deck interface that is now featured taking the place of previous versions’ menu/icon setup.
