Verizon Wireless saved the best till the last. Out of the four phones (the other three are BlackBerry Curve 8530, Samsung Convoy, and LG Chocolate Touch) that VZ launched today, the best is the HTC Droid Eris full touch screen phone powered by Google’s Android operating system. The Droid Eris runs on HTC Sense user interface that allow users to create customized home screen that suit their needs. Users could customize a seven-panel wide home screen with a wide variety of widgets designed to bring the most important information to the surface.

The Droid Eris will be available online and at stores on Nov 6, and its selling price is merely $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement on a voice plan with an e-mail feature or e-mail plan. That is a very good price compared to T-Mobile MyTouch, which is selling for $179.99 as of today.

Motorola’s first Android phone has gained a lot of spotlights recently, and people kind of forget that Verizon Wireless is set to launch the HTC Desire, also an Android-powered phone. The pictures you saw below are the leaked photos of HTC Desire that is rumored to be released on October 28, which is two days later.

The HTC Desire looks pretty much like T-Mobile’s HTC Hero. It features a 3.2-inch HVGA LCD screen, HTC Senses UI, and 5-megapixel digital camera, 528MHz processor, WiFi, and A-GPS. Please stay tuned for the official release on 28th.

If you are a musician especially a guitar player, you are going to die for this wood-grain HTC MyTouch 3G from T-Mobile and Fender, a US based instruments and amplifiers maker. This special edition of HTC MyTouch 3G has all the features of a regular MyTouch 3G, plus some nice add-ons, such as exclusive audio and video from iconic musicians, and a new application called “Sherpa” that suggest for stores, attractions, and restaurants.

It is kind of disappointing that T-Mobile doesn’t tell us what is the selling price for this gorgeous MyTouch Fender Edition phone. The only piece of information we know is it will be launched sometimes this year.

The Taiwan-based cell phone maker, HTC, today announced the HTC HD2, an amazing full touchscreen phone that comes equipped with whopping 4.3-inch capacitive touch screen, and is powered by Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional with HTC “Sense” User interface.

The HD2 phone easily surpasses the Apple’s iPhone 3G S – the HD2 is powered by Qualcomm’s new 1GHz Snapdragon mobile processor with 512MB ROM and 448MB, enough to load any application at lightning speed.

Since the phone is running on Windows 6.5 operating system, it comes preloaded with standard Smartphone apps, including Outlook Mobile, Internet Explorer, Windows Marketplace, and Windows Media Player Mobile. Besides supporting 3G network, this HTC phone also support Wi-Fi access, allowing users to browse the Internet at any WiFi HotSpot. If you love social networking apps, you are going to love this phone as it has preloaded Social Networking apps for Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Unfortunately, the HTC HD2 will not land in the United States anytime soon. The lucky European are going to be able to get the HTC HD2 sometimes in October, as HTC is going to partner with some undisclosed European carriers.

Verizon Wireless today announced the HTC Imagio, a full touch screen phone that is powered by Windows Mobile 6.5, the latest recently launched Windows Mobile operating that is said to rival Apple’s iPhone OS. Normally, Verizon Wireless phones won’t work in other countries as they don’t support GSM networks, this doesn’t apply to HTC Imagio. The Imagio phone is global roaming capable, which means it is capable of running in more than 185 destinations worldwide.

Features and specifications of the HTC Imagio include a huge 3.6-inch LCD touch screen (480 x 800 WVGA), Wi-Fi connectivity, 5-megapixel digital camera, 3G connectivity, Microsoft® Office Mobile and Microsoft Office® Outlook® Mobile, and 3.5mm audio jack.

The selling price of HTC Imagio is very reasonable. You could get the phone for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement. If you love this phone, don’t rush to Verizon Wireless yet. It is because The Imagio phone will only be available at Verizon Wireless online store beginning Oct. 6. The Verizon Retail Stores won’t get the phone until beginning Oct. 20.

The rumored latest HTC phone with a gigantic touch screen (4.3-inch), HTC Leo, is again leaked in the Internet. The picture shown is the clear shot of HTC Leo compared to HTC Touch Pro, which has a 3.6-inch TFT touch screen. The leaked source said that the HTC Leo is powered by Qualcomm 8520B Snapdragon 1GB processor, 512MB storage memory and 320MB RAM. If this is real, this is by far the most powerful HTC touch phone ever released.

How much longer we need to wait for the official release of Windows Mobile 6.5 with multi-touch navigation technology? Well, we don’t know the answer, but this video shows the build 23022 of Windows Mobile 6.5 running on a HTC smartphone. For Microsoft fans, this is something good for you. However, what we see in the build 23022 is pretty much what iPhone or Android could do. Microsoft still has long way to go.
