Sprint’s Motorola I776w Gets New Purple Dress

Sprint Nextel today announced the purple color version of Motoorla I776w, an entry-level cheap (affordable) flip style phone that supports Nextel Direct Connect walkie talkie services. There is nothing sexy about its features and specifications. Its features include GPS navigation, Bluetooth, a cheap VGA camera, and Push-to-Send My Info, Push-to-Send Contacts and Push-to-View. It is sold for $80 with contract.
Sprint Announced Its First Android Phone – Samsung Moment

Sprint Nextel, the 3rd largest carrier by subscriber in United States, today announced its first Android phone – Samsung Moment. The release of Samsung Moment shows that Google’s Android operating system is gaining a lot of momentum as more and more carriers are willing to carrier Android-powered phones. The first carrier in the United States that offered Android-powered phone was T-Mobile. Verizon Wireless also recently announced the partnership with Google.

Samsung Instinct HD Is Available at Sprint Stores

Sprint today announced that they have successfully landed Samsung Instinct HD, a High Definition touch screen phone from Samsung. The new Samsung Instinct HD features an awesome 5-megapixel digital camera, TV-output for watching high-definition videos, and MP3 music player.
Eco-friendly Samsung Reclaim Phone Announced by Sprint

Sprint today unearthed the Samsung Reclaim, a green phone that is made of eco-friendly plastic materials. According to Sprint spokesman, the Reclaim phone is made of 80 percent recyclable materials. 40 percent of the recyclable materials are made from corn. The reclaim phone is completely free of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), phthalates, and nearly free of brominated flame retardants (BFR).

Sprint Lands LG LX290 Slider Phone

Sprint today announced the availability of LG LX290 slider phone. This slider phone isn’t a something as sexy as iPhone, however, it does has decent features and specifications. It features dedicated application shortcut keys, and a Motorola KRZR’s style navigation keys. Its features and specs include a built-in 1.3-megapixel digital camera, GPS navigation (subscription required), and Bluetooth connectivity. The LG LX290 is available beginning today for $30 after rebates with new agreement.

I guess RIM doesn’t like BlackBerry Niagara, which was the name of BlackBerry 9630. RIM decided to name the new BlackBerry 9630 “BlackBerry Tour”, which is much better than Niagara. The BlackBerry Tour gets official release today, as RIM announced that the Tour phone will be available in this summer at Sprint and Verizon Wireless, and probably by Bell and Telus in Canada. The Tour phone will be available for $199 with a 2-yr contract agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate. Unlike the controversial BlackBerry Storm phone, which causes many die-hard BlackBerry users to hate BlackBerry products, the BlackBerry Tour doesn’t have a touchscreen.

Palm Pre Charger is Available at some Sprint Stores, does it means Palm Pre will be launched very soon?

The highly anticipated Palm Pre, Palm’s best effort to beat Apple’s iPhone, is not yet launched, although we have been reporting the Pre phone for more than 6 months now. Surprise! The Touchstone, the charger for Palm Pre is available for sales at some Sprint stores. The Touchstone is a remarkable dock for the Pre as it requires absolutely no wires to charge the Pre phone. So, does the launch of Pre charger means Sprint and Palm will officially launch the Pre phone in these few days?

This dual slider Samsung M550 Exclaim will arrive at Sprint Stores on June, 7 2009. This phone was previously known as Samsung Cello. Equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard, the M550 phone is a messaging phone for frequent texters. Features of the phone include a 2.0-megapixel digital camera, A-GPS for GPS Navigation (subscription required), Stereo Bluetooth connectivity, video recorder, and MP3 music player. It is rumored that this phone will be launched together with Palm Pre on June, 7.

Sprint Sets to Launch Motorola Vegas V20

The Motorola Vegas V20 was spotted at FCC website by our friends at phonearena.com. Apparently, the phone is going to be launched by Sprint, the struggling mobile phone carrier in the US. It is sad to say that the another struggling corporation, Motorola, continues its “copy-and-paste” product development style on the V20 phone, as you can see, the V20 phone looks just like Motorola RAZR / Motorola KRZR.

Sprint has a few things to announce that they presented at the show yesterday, and we are here to bring you all the big news as soon as we get it. Sprint has announced the release of the new Samsung SCH-M800 Instinct. It features a full touchscreen and is full of a lot of high tech goodies for users to enjoy. The Samsung Instinct will support features such as Sprint’s GPS navigation that will enable users to find locations by simply stating in a few words where it is they want to go or what it is they are looking for. Other applications such as Spring TV and XM Radio are also available for users to subscribe to and enjoy.

The Trouble with Sprint

Sprint is in financial trouble and the word is getting out. It is possible that with all the problems sprint is having that they may be subject to a buyout in the near future. T-Mobile’s parent company Deutsche Telekom could possibly become the new owner of Sprint sometime in the months or years to come. In the case of a price war between companies such as Sprint and T-Mobile, this could be the result. Sprint has already tried to undercut the competition with price cuts, trying to please new customers so they’ll stay… but things are not looking too good.
