Why we can’t have Japanese phones that are much cooler than the phones (except iPhone) that we have in United States? It is not fair !

I know i’m late but we can have those mobile phones in the US. eBay sells them and they function here too. I have like two docomo phones.
I wish I could get a phone like that when i go to tokyo! Is there a way that they could be converted?

Yes, the phone should runs on any GSM network. In United States, you could get GSM services from AT&T or T-Mobile.
