Dell Coming Back Onto the Mobile Scene?

Posted On March 20th, 2008. Written by info

March 20, 2008 - Once a marketer of handheld Palms, rumors are fling that Dell could be making their way back into the cell phone market. So long to the days of $500+ smart phones being your only option for a handheld with Windows Mobile options. Of course, Dell will be entering into an entirely different market from the one they were used to in 2002 when theywere marketing their Palm designs. Users are looking for more options in a small and convenient package.

When Dell first took the cell phones stage in 2002, many manufactures were quite nervous about what they might release, and rightly so. Dell released inexpensive Palm options for interested users. So now, with technological advancements and more options available for handsets, many of which come standard, Dell will have a lot to live up to. However, it will be interesting to see what kind of handset Dell comes out with, especially since they were known for their inexpensive models that featured all the option of more expensive models. Dell may justend up offering exactly what the public has been looking for: an inexpensive version of the most expensive, loaded cell phone.

The rumors are that Dell will be offering users a new cell phone option that features Windows Mobile options. If it is indeed a less expensive version of high end cell phones, this will be a perfect phone for business professionals as well as average users. If Dell could create an inexpensive version of the smart phone, I am sure everyone would be interested!
