Tokyo Girls Collection show

April 7, 2008- Tokyo is showcasing a new idea: combine fashion and mobile devices and coordinate one with the other, add a fashion show to the mix and ta-da, you have something the young generation will eat up!The biannual Tokyo Girls Collection show has done just this. Xavel has targeted the popularity of fashion and mobile devices by making their Girlswalker.com and fashionwalker.com sites available to mobile devices. Now retailers can sell their stylish new fashions to customers via their cell phones. Girlswalker is a magazine site on which users can browse new fashions and designs while fashionwalker is a site designed for local business to sell their apparel. There are over 3 million users that currently shop at fashiowalker.com and 7 million that read girlswalker.com regularly.

Revenue has really picked up for all who have jumped on the mobile device band wagon… withl $130 million in revenue for 2007, advertising and sales via mobile devices is the wave of the future. One of the things that really make the sites work is that the clothes are not only stylish, but they are also practical. These are clothes that people would really wear in daily life. Most items cost around $50-$100 although some cam be higher.
