Google Nexus One Gets Multi-touch Support Update

When Google announced Nexus One last month, people were disappointed that the Nexus One doesn’t have multi-touch support like what iPhone has. Today, Google rolled out an OTA software update for Nexus One that includes multi-touch support and Google Goggles.

The multi-touch feature allows users to pinch-to-zoom on Maps, web pages, and image gallery. The multi-touch update is available only for Nexus One, not other Android-powered phones. Google don’t mention whether they will roll up similar update to other Android-powered smartphones in the market.

Regarding the 3G connectivity problems that troubled some Nexus One phones last month, Google said that it will “soon provide a general fix to improve 3G connectivity”.
