March 26, 2008- Ishinokoe, or Voice of Stone, has announced that they will be offering a unique, now age option for head stones. Now, individuals will be able to have unique Design QR codes engraved onto their headstones. These Design QR codes allow those visiting the grave sight to access a dedicated mobile site. This package can be purchased along with the tomb stones and allows visitors to view a complete life history of the individual as well as photos and other information uploaded onto the dedication site. Of course some people may think, “That is not a good idea, what I do not want every person who happens by my family’s graves to know everything about them? Some things are private.” Ishinokoe understands this and for this reason certain security cautions have been taken. Only people with a key, such as special friends and family members, will be able to open the enclosing chamber door the code is kept behind to scan the code and access the information.

This new service comes with a package from Ishinokoe that includes their granite or marble grave stones. The estimated cost for this bumble of service and head stone is estimated to cost about $10,000. Also, families of the deceased will be responsible for the monthly administrative fee of $50 for the first three years of services. The company feels that this new option in grave stones might be something that will appeal to the younger generation. Not only will the younger generation be interested in such options for their own grave stone, but it might also give them a bit of interest in visiting the grave sites of deceased family member. Also, this might be an interesting way to encourage younger family members to learn more about their relatives.
