What a beast!!! The iPhone isn’t going to know what hit it!!! WHAT NOW APPLE!!!

  2. Nathan Says:

I own an HTC and have been using it for 2 weeks. This is a great phone, but anyone who thinks this is a challenge for the iPhone is nuts. For one thing, about 10% of computer users are Mac owners, which disqualifies them from all of the synchronization features.

Having had the opportunity to use an iPhone and compare it to my HTC, there really is no comparison. The only reason I bought an HTC is because the iPhone is not available where I live.

I own both, Iphone and now the HTC Touch Cruise. I must say, you should do your homework before you post your comments. I am a MAC user for home including MACBokk Pro laptop. I sync SEAMLESSLY with a third party application ( not naming them, they haven’t paid me :) ). The HTC cruise has 3G, a plethora of applications, Slinbox capable (awsome BTW), built in GPS!!, voice dialing (via 3rd party MS voice control), a removable battery, optional handwriting recognition, a front facing video cam, etc etc etc..
The Iphone is indeed a slick well built device but in NO WAY can hold it’s own against these features, and awsome convergence of this HTC Cruise.

    do your homework!!

  4. Ms Says:

A agree with Nathan. Only reason I have a touch is because I won it in a contest. If i could I would get the iPhone. Also I no one i know has 3G features so mine is basically wasted.

  5. Cac Says:

I guess comparition between 2 machines is out of scope, the only common feature is the touch screen.
Once this point passed through, the iPhone remains a nice fashion gadget, with a poor phone and iPod embodied…
The cruise is a mobile hi-tech center with all that the iPhone will never be able to do!

  6. ratheen Says:

i wish it had a flash or a light for the camera

  7. Panos Says:

Apple devices cannot be compared with others – at least in the past, but since they decided to fire away in intel chips or mobile phones, comparison may be fair and sometimes necessary.
I am a mac user as well.

Fact 1: HTC Touch cruise has far more features than iphone.
Fact 2: Any windows mobile device can sync perfect with a mac with 2 ways: either using a well known 3rd party syncing utility, or by installing parallel desktops and running windows from your mac and using the bundled software with the phone.

    Bye!

  8. Dimitris Says:

I’ve got HTC Touch Cruise for about a month. I am also a Macbook user. I just wish I could use iPhone as well but it’s not available yet in my country. HTC is a nice phone but I notice the battery runs out within 2 days of normal usage. I wish I could find some good software for synchronizing my Mac with out problems…
Can you please tell me a well known 3rd party syncing utility…

    Thank u

  9. tito Says:

I am so tired of the apple users and pc users fighting. Fact is, Apple somehow created the most impressive brand loyalty I have ever known amongst the pc users and the mac users alike when they started the consumer electronics division. It truley is amazing how sheep-like people are. For example, in Apple’s genious marketing plan, it was decided early on exactly how to get as much press as possible and get all the Apple loyalists convinced that there would be a shortage so they would all show up and wait in line on launch day. Fact is the iPhone is actually a very unpopular phone that everyone knows because of all the press it has gotten. It is a nice toy. But thats what it really is…. a toy compared to the touch. Also know that the touch was in development FAR longer than the iPhone, was announced first, and was never created to be an “iPhone Killer”. To compare the two is as bad as comparing an apple and a pc. The iPhone is a media player, messaging client, wireless Internet access device, and a phone designed for personal consumer users. The touch is way more than that, but doesn’t have the esd type glass touch screen technology, a lot less integrated storage. They are completely different devices.

All things said, having held each device in my hand, I can’t understand why anyone would ever choose the iPhone. I think you would have to be a sheep easily swayed by clever marketing stratagies, or a dumb brand loyalist to ever go the other way!

Well after some time, the screen paint starts to scrape off, even with the help of a screen protector. what are u guys planning to do about that.I have just had my phone for less than 3 months, handled with care, but the paint still scrapes off, thats irritating for the price we buy the phone.

  11. Garry Says:

It’s a great phone, HTC Touch cruise has far more features than i phone I guess

  12. Frenske oet Mestreech Says:

I have a touche cruise and can only say this is the best you could wish when you want a phone with all possible options and future upgrade options.
And most important you can swoop the battery. Something that doesn’t work with a iphone.
They put really everything in it that you could wish.
The only option it misses now is the wirlls projector connection that you find on the htc diamond.
But that htc pda is already getting to small again.
