I just got this phone last week (17 sept, 2007) and OMFG I LOVE IT! It has *so* many features I’m -still- figuring them out.. It’s fast, has no irritating bugs or mistranslations like the Mio Digiwalker A701 and it’s just cool. They really designed this phone from the customers point of view. Fat ass bitchin’ phone!

Only thing I missed during the first days was an FM radio, but now I just listen to the radio over the internet. Works just as well and even streams stations where they’re not broadcasting ;-)

    5 stars for me.

  4. Stefan Says:

It’s my first Windows Mobile phone after years of BlackBerry addiction. It is a great ‘pocket PC’ with excellent speed. GPS picks up the signal quickly even in Manhattan.

However, some observations why I am only giving 4 stars…
    (1) The battery is really too weak if email is being checked every 15 or 30 minutes. To have a charger around is a must have for power users of phone, mail, web etc.
    (2) The internal antenna seems weak too. The phone is losing connectivity in elevators or inside buildings where I never had a problem before (my own appartment). Once lost the phone seems to have trouble to pikc up the signal again – my workaround is to go briefly in Flight Mode and then again in Phone mode which seems to trigger the phone to do a better search. No, it has nothing to do with the SIM card – I bought already another one to check ;-)
    (3) External speaker on the back makes not a hell lot of sense unless one is planning to broadcast conversations to everybody standing around.

Otherwise a cool gadget, which will keep me connected even though with the listed challenges.

  6. Numair Ali Aidroos Says:

Awesome phone!!! The pictures are very sharp with perfect contrast, there are alot of games alvailable for the phone like CALL OF DUTY 2 and you can also do MULTIPLAYER gameplay with any other Windows Mobile enabled phone or PPC. Games like NFS Most Wanted, Underground 2 and ProStreet have killer graphics and action-packed gameplay to them. This phone is like having a CAMERA, Pocket PC, PSP, VOIP-Phone(requires skype)…This is like a MULTIMEDIA COMMUNICATOR.

    ***** (5/5)

  7. Johnny Says:

I noticed in the presentation in the video diary. He used a 8gb micro sandisk? Does anyone know where to get that from? And dont say check sandisk.com, i did! all they have is the 8gb micro sdhc. is that compatible with this phone?

But other than that this is a s*** hot phone!

  8. Bird Says:

the battery is the worst thing. I have IPAQ which can last 2 days for moderate use. But for this HTC, the battery gone very fast even i only listen mp3 for 2hr, use it as dictionary for 15mins, talke 10 min phone, i went out at 8am, back home at 10pm, the battery only left 7min. God. The specific said talking hour for 7 hr??? No way.
I expect the speed faster, which is not. I didn’t see this CPU process faster than my IPAQ

  9. tamim Says:
