March 30, 2008- Leaked information regarding the upcoming business actions of Sprint suggest the release of the long awaited Palm Treo 800w. A slide from a smart phone roadmap of release dates showed that the Palm Treo 800w should release in July, as well as some other exciting devices. The new Palm Treo will feature many of the features that were already rumored to be included in the new package. Such features include, Windows Mobile standard and will make the Palm Treo 800w the first 320 x 320 Windows Mobile supporting product. It will also be Palm’s fir Wi-Fi and GPS enabled smart phone as well as their first EVDO Rev A device.

One interesting thing about this phone, however, is that there is rumored to be two version that will be coming available: a camera phone version and a camera free edition. This might prove to be a valuable asset to them in marketing since there are some users who want an amazing phone like this, but due to security precautions at work, they are not allowed to posses a camera of any kind during work hours. This would offer these individuals a smart phone they would actually be able to use on the clock.
There is no word yet on how much this phone will cost, or if this will be a Sprint exclusive device for any period of time. Another thing we are wondering about that the leakage did not really answer was whether or not this phone is really the successor to the Palm Treo 700w.
