Introducing the Verizon Wireless XV6900 Touchscreen Phone Available This Month!

April 1, 2008 – Verizon Wireless is ready to put another new phone on the market. Along with their other models that are coming out very soon, the XV6900 is a versatile touch screen model that will allow users to navigate options with the simple movement of a finger. The XV6900 will feature Windows Mobile 6 Professional with applications included such as Outlook Mobile for emailing and Office Mobile to stay one step ahead in the business world. Also, internet browse applications will allow users to navigate the web via their handset and even utilize online applications such as instant messaging via AOL Instant Messenger, MSN, and Yahoo! Instant Messengers.

Users will not only be able to create data files using their Office Mobile applications, but they will also be able to download and view data files including Word, Excel, or even PowerPoint documents. On the home screen of the device, users can navigate to email, text messaging, appointments and contacts, among others, with simple one-touch access. Users can also access live data such as current weather reports and forecasts.

Other features that will come standard with this model include. Built in speakers, Bluetooth capabilities, a microSD memory card slot, 256 MB ROM as well as 128 MB RAM, a 2.8 inch TFT-LCD touch screen display, and a 2.0 megapixel camera with camcorder capabilities included as well. This handset is sleek and stylish measureing 3.98 x 2.35 x 0.56 inches.
The Verizon Wireless XV6900 will be hitting the shelves in this month and making its appearance at $349.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate when a new two year contract is purchased. Also, buyers will be credited $100 credit toward their purchase when they sign up for plans that qualify them for this extra discount.
