The 2007 Invention of the Year is already making plans to take this year’s award.

On January 20th, Apple is to announce its addition of Lotus Notes eMail to an already extensive list of cutting edge features. This application is supposed to appeal to the business-savvy individual, while still serving the purpose of the ultimate advancement in wireless entertainment.

IBM is also expected to drop its application of Open Office, a similar version of Lotus eMail , on the same day.
