iPhone Internet Speed is As Fast As Broadband ?

MacRumors.com browsed through Google Cache and found out that Google Spider has spotted something that nobody knows yet – the internet download speed of iPhone. According to the Google cache page, the speed test was done using a speed test tool which can be download at BroadbandReports.com. It seems like iPhone downloaed a test file (1024KB) at the speed of 157K/second (1262 kbps).

    So what? Waste of time even reporting this.. just because it reports as an iPhone Agent, doesn’t mean anything – it doesn’t say if it was on edge, wi–fi, or even if the iPhone Safari based browser was running on developer’s machine at Apple.

    157/k on EDGE? Cause if the iphone is anywhere near 60/k on AT&T’s EDGE network, I’m so buying one today.
