U.S. Cellular officially announces LG Banter phone today. The LG Banter is a sibling of LG Rumor 2, offered by Sprint Nextel. Like the Rumor 2, LG Banter also has a full QWERTY keyboard that slide out from the side. The phone features a 1.3-megapixel digital camera, MP3 music player, Video Player, and Stereo Bluetooth connectivity.

The Banter phone supports U.S. Cellular’s “Your Navigator” GPS navigation system. Also, the phone has access to U.S. Cellular services, such as Tone Room ringtone shop, Pacman, enhanced Caller ID system, and City ID.

The price is not awfully expensive. You could get it for $49.99, after mail-in and instant rebates. However, you would have to sign two years contract with U.S. Cellular.
