Great phone. Easy / Simple to use.

  2. Gil Damari Says:

The phone is great, I like the features in it,and the battery life is great.
The only cons, is if you don’t want to use the PTT which is on the right side of the phone, you can always press it by mistake and its not nice.

  3. sandy Says:

the phone i great but i have a question does anybody know if the software mentioned on the note in the guide to get music frm media player is neccessary for me to be able to put the songs on my phone?

  4. Nicole Says:

I was dissappointed that this phone does not have a few features that my MUCH older phone did.
It does not have the option to set different ringtones for different callers, nor can you choose to have the callers’ photo show up when you are recieving a call.
And the outside screen is pretty darn dissappointing. I guess that’s why the AT&T store that I bought it from didn’t have a working model on display.. Boo.
I wish my old Sony Ericsson’s screen hadn’t spontaneously turned into a gray jumbled static mess.

  5. Judy Says:

Nicole…Yes, this phone DOES support different tones for different callers. I had to figure it out myself because they don’t give instructions in the user manual.

If you go to a contact number and click options, scroll down to “copy to handset.” You can “delete original” as their information will still be saved. Now, go to “menu”; “my stuff”; “audio & ringtones” and select the ringtone you want to set; click “options”; “set as” “ringtone ID”. There you will see a list of the contacts you just saved to the handset. Select the contact number you want for that ringtone.

  6. AffiliateToolsReviewed.com Says:

If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t. So many annoyances.

First, forget finding software that works with this phone. Unlike my last Motorola phone that worked with Motorola Tools (a great interface program), I have yet to find anything compatible with the CU515. You can’t even find a driver for the damn thing, which I discovered after purchasing a data cable.

The PTT button is so small and sensitive in it’s location, that you can’t help but activate it. Navigation is overcomplicated. While you can assign ringtones to callers, you can’t assign anything to the alerts. I could live with the small B&W outer screen, but to have such a large inner screen with such small text is just plain stupid – with no ability to increase the font size. To actually use my own ringtones (which MUST be in MP3 format) I had to buy a data card and load my ringtones into that, then access the ringtones from the installed data card.

The alarm times, which I use often, cannot be stored. Set the alarm, turn it off and you have to go through the whole process of setting up a new alarm for the same time each day. Again, my old phone kept the alarm times stored and I only had to enable them for activation. The flip panel is sized slightly smaller than the base half, meaning that it is almost impossible to open with one hand, as a thumb or any digit does not have a surface along the sides to grab and open it. A flip phone shouldn’t require two hands to open it.

The manual is almost useless. Lots of info on what the phone can do, but little in actually telling you the steps to perform, to get something done.

If you plan on personalizing this phone, forget it. Find another, better supported phone.

    On the good side:

    Good volume
    Long battery life
    Large keypad w/ bright numbers

  7. trevor Says:

    can you assign text tones?

  8. Ken Says:

I downloaded a ringtone on this LG phone, but cannot find where it is saved. The manual? Useless, as the gentleman stated above. Any ideas?

  9. Ken Says:

After downloading a ringtone, I cannot find on this LG where it is saved!! As stated above, the manual is useless. Any ideas?

  10. Dwayne Says:

Judy, thanks for the tip about ringtones ~ works like a charm now!!!

  11. Mike Says:

    The saved file goes under

    Good luck!

  12. Alexandra Says:

Is there any way of having an alarm tone play while keeping the rest of the tones on vibrate? I never use a ringtone because they annoy me too much, but when I set my alarm I use one because it’s a sure way of making sure I get up in the morning. However, with this phone, if it’s set on vibrate, the alarm vibrates without playing a tone. Anyway to fix this?

  13. Hertz Says:

Someone can tell me How can I install Games or apllications in this phone
