LG Recently announced the launch of its new multimedia phone which is titled LG-KF700. The handset’s 3 inch touchscreen features an intuitive user interface. The device can take inputs by its touch sensitive screen, shortcut dial and alpha numeric keypad. These features make the KF700 world’s first phone that can take input through multiple means.

The phone’s Shortcut Dial application quickly scrolls through the main features of the phone. The application controls a virtual dial on the device. It thus saves a lot of time as the user need not dig through deep menu options to get his desired features.

The handset uses a Li-ion battery that gives users enough power to run the multimedia functions of the device for few hours at a stretch. The handset is speculated to be in direct competition with the Apple’s iPhone. The device is equipped with most standard features of smart phones like a predictive text input, an internet browser and voice dial.

LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company CEO Dr. Skott Ahn says that main multimedia features of the phone are easily accessible as the device does not require the users to fiddle with menu items to access them. The handset will be available in black color from March 2008 in all major markets of the world.
