The Motorola E690 is just a internet rumor going around. The FCC and Motorola Inc. Have not released any details on a Linux based phone. Motorola is actually focusing on the Android Application discovering theres more innovative experiences with JAVA and Web OS (ANDROID)

I currently have the Motorola E680i which is only sold in Asia. I’d buy the E690 if 1) There will Linux sync software 2) it was available in the US 3) came with open office file viewing and 4) had WiFi capability. Those are all the things missing from my E680i that I wish I had. Other than that, the E680i is a great linux phone.
