
MOTOROLA received several awards for their technological advancements in cellular communications at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Among the mobile devices awarded were the ROKR E8, MOTOROKR S9, and the MOTOROLA T815.
Topping the list with four awards, including CNET Best of CES and CNET People’s Voice Award was the ROKR E8, MOTOROLA’s newest device that packages a cell phone, a music player, and an instrument for imaging. The ROKR E8 was featured in LAPTOP Magazine where it was awarded Best Cell Phone , and also Popular Mechanics magazine, in which it received the Editor’s Choice Award and made an appearance in the magazine’s Top 20 Products of CES list.
Awarded both for Best of Innovations Design and Engineering and Blue Tooth Special Interest Group were the MOTOR OKR S9 and the MOTOROLA T815, which allows users to access music and phone calls through Bluetooth technology and also features an “unmatched lightweight behind-the-head wearing style”, according to a press release on MOTOROLA’s website.
The MOTOROLA t815 features a navigation system by MOTNAV. This “Smartphone-Based” hand held device received the highest award on the Bluetooth Transfer category, also from the press release.
