Motorola Revealed New Version of MC70 Mobile Computer with Built-in GPS Capabilities

Post Expo 2007 in Barcelona – Motorola revealed a new version of MC70 mobile computer (formerly owned by Symbol), featuring built-in Global Positioning System (GPS) capability, allowing organizations with field-based employees, such as postal companies, to track and manage dynamic, real-time tasking, as well as verify specific locations of activities and provide mobile workers with pinpoint navigation support to improve location-based productivity.
Like Panasonic’s tough notebooks, the Motorola MC70 computer is also built to withstand the rigours of everyday use in harsh environments and protect against frequent drops to concrete, and exposure to water, dust and extreme temperatures, the MC70 is optimized for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Besides that, Motorola also announced the partnership with ALK technologies which ALK technologies developed CoPilot® Live navigation system that powers the Motorola MC70. The CoPilot® Live navigation is developed to take full advantage of built-in GPS device of MC70 and provide business-specific satellite navigation with integrated fleet management.
The MC70 mobile computer will be available for sale in the Q1 of 2008.
