The release of BlackBerry world edition PDA phones pushed Motorola to jump in to “world edition” bandwagon. The Motorola RIZR Z6c is Motorola’s first world edition phone, which supports CDMA/EV-DO for the US and dual-band GSM for the rest of the world. Since the Motorola RIZR Z6c is released for Verizon Wireless, the RIZR Z6c is ready to run on Verizon Wireless’ global roaming partners’ networks. Features and specifications of the Z6c include a 2.0-megapixel digital camera, a QVGA LCD color display, MP3 digital music player, video player, and a microSD memory expansion slot.

  1. Maike Both Says:

I just got the Motorola V6z, and for the most part, so far, I am pretty happy with its’ performance.

One thing that really bugs me though, is that I have to use an adapter in order to plug in a standard 2.5 mm headphone jack; a very unelegant solution for such a slick looking phone …

The V6c only has a micro USB port, not very widely spread, and as far as I know, there are no good corded headsets on the market that fit this smaller size USB port. Motorola basically expects me to use a Bluetooth headset, an idea that I do not like at all. Also, I can not charge the phone and use a corded head set at the same time, as the V6c only has one port

The other thing that I would like to criticize: for my taste, the ear piece volume is too low.

  2. ARU Says:

I received my phone a week ago. It is a really nice phone, though I have to agree that the volume is a little low.

A real problem is that, even with Motorola Phone Tools, file transfer and calendar entries synchronization is not possible BECAUSE VERIZON CRIPPLED THE PHONE. So if you want to use the nice 2MP camera you have to either e-mail the pictures to yourself and pay for airtime or file them on a micro SD card in the phone, take the card out and use a card reader on your PC. And taking the card out is not so easy. Shame on Verizon to spoil such a nice phone.

  3. Mac Says:

It’s unanimous … the volume is too low. I thought I was going deaf when trying to use it in a car. It’s really annoyingly not loud enough, on speaker or on earpiece.

The volume issue seems to be chronic on Verizon global phones, starting with the Samsung sch-a740 which had an unreasonably low ring volume as well.

  4. reo Says:

It has a cool slik look to it and it has every average verizon phone feaures. my favorite 3 features are the “funny face”, “caller id alert” and the convinience of having the phone ring and vibrate at the same time when getting a call.

only thing that i don’t like is you cannot assign “my sounds” as a ringtone(pain in the ass)

  5. Gustavo Says:

this is the worse phone EVER, I don’t plan to have another motorola never again. I use metropcs carrier.

este e o PIOR telefone que ja tenha visto, nao penso em comprar outro motorola nunca mais. Uso a metro pcs.

  6. Lindsey Says:

I LOVE the phone. There is NO FLASH! And I really wish you could set a voice recording as your ringtone. But its a great phone…so far. I have had it for 4 days :)

  7. Paul Says:

Volume is a joke. I just found a software update and it didn’t have a fix for the volume. I will not recommend this phone

  8. Joe Says:

How do you get music on to phone through the micro sd? I lost the manual.
