New Bone-Conduction Cell Phone By Pantech – Now You Can Listen on Your Bone Instead of Your Ear

Pantech in Japan unveiled a new kind of cellular phone (called Pantech- au A1407PT) that features bone conduction of voice by vibration. Bone conduction means sound wave is conducted through people’s skull by vibration and further to inner ear to let people hear
The application of the bone conduction feature is allowing user to hear voice of caller only by contacting the bone conduction speaker on his/her head…to solve problem of communication in noisy place and for old people and people with auditory handicap.
Ihm Seong-Jae, managing director of overseas marketing head office, Pantech Group said : “Pantech-au A1407PT is made with craftsmanship of Pantech Group”, “This product has greatly improved convenience for users in noisy places and provided opportunity for the people having auditory handicap and old people to use handset as well”
The Pantech- au A1407PT will be available in Japan beginning November of 2007.
