March 26, 2008- Motorola announced yesterday the introduction of their newest line of access points and subscriber modules. The Canopy 400 series of access points and subscriber modules will feature 5.4 GHz spectrum access and offer users fast than ever online service. The Canopy 400 series features Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing, or OFDM. This type of technology provides improved near line of sight, or nLOS, and non line of sight, or NLOS, coverage. This will allows service providers to expand their service to urban areas where service was previously dim if not non existent.

The Canopy 400 series of devices will improve to overall network performance and reach enhancing services for all customers. The devices will also be able to offer users higher throughputs even up to 21Mbps. Along with GPS synchronization, the Canopy series is sure to create a new era in online access. With all these new capabilities that the Canopy 400 series will make available, service providers be able to offer higher speed data transfers, Voice over IP and even gaming options to users who were previously out of reach.

The canopy series will increase connection possibilities for everyone and via a cost effective means. Underserved customers will now be offered the same connectivity options that they were previously denied. The new series will be easily integrated into the already existing Canopy networks so the transition will be smooth for all. The older Canopy series will also be compatible with the new 400 series, which will also make things run smoother in the long run.
