New Nokia E61i PDA Phone

It seems like all the leading cellular phone manufacturers are panic after the launch of iPhone by Steve Jobs in MacWorld 2007(see the iPhone pictures at HandCellPhone forum). What are the strategies of the leaders such as Nokia, Samsung and Motorola to prevent iPhone from eating up their profits? The biggest rumor is from Nokia is the cell phone giant is ready to release the new Nokia E61i metallic-like cellular phone.

According to the rumor, the Nokia E61i will support EDGE, GPRS, and the UTMS network. Other features of the phone include a WLAN module and a MicroSD card slot. The device is expected to be formally announced at the upcoming 3GSM event happening next month.

Editors of HandCellPhone.com don’t think that Nokia has such plan. It just seems impractical for Nokia to launch as a new cellular phone without much improvements on it.

Almost every gadget now has a lot of features to offer, there is this watch with MP3 and phone feature, the phone is now an all in one gadget like this one you posted here. What’s next? A Phone with TV and DVD player? wow! That’s great, but I would rather use the phone like ericsson phone sony w600i. as my MP3 gadget… I just love music…
