On January 18th, Nokia announced that the N95 8GB is the first cell phone in history to become DLNA certified, which makes it easier to transfer media content between electronic home devices and your laptop onto the handset. This certification ensures the N95 8GB compatibility with other DLNA certified devices, regardless of brand.

To receive the Digital Living Network Alliance badge of honor, a product must undergo extensive testing and meet a lengthy checklist of regulations.

Anssi Vanjoki, the Executive Vice President of the Market Sector of Nokia, had this to say in a recent press release.

“We are thrilled to receive this tribute from DLNA. The Nokia N95 8GB is truly a masterpiece of a multimedia computer, and a prime example of the direction mobility is taking-it’s personal, powerful and fits seamlessly into you life, inside and outside the home”.

This feat ensures that Nokia stays at the top of the digital and wireless media game, while continuing to bring you innovative features that make Nokia better than the rest. Congratulations to the Nokia family!
