Nokia Released Nokia N96 – The High End Phone For Smart Users

The dual slide designed Nokia N96 mobile is slated to be a successor to highly popular N95. The handset has two keypads that open up on opposite sides of its display. Its lower side keypad has numeric keys while its upper side keypad features a number of multimedia controls. The handset boasts of a 5 megapixel camera which is equipped with Carl Zeiss lens. The phone comes with massive 16 GB of internal memory, which is large enough to store up to 40 hours of video content.

The cell phone features a 2.8 inches wide TFT screen that also serves as a viewfinder when the device is put to camera mode. The phone allows fast data downloads through its USB 2.0 port connection. The N96 comes with an integrated DVB-H receiver that provides live broadcast of television programs to the users. One can also expand the memory of N96 to a total of 24 GB by using a microSD memory card like MU-43 and 8GB microSDHC.

The Nokia N96 comes with a built in Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver that allows voice-guided car navigation to the users. Its Nokia Map application allows users to locate their exact position in a city. The handset’s phone book can store details like email address, job title and birth day etc. of more than 1000 contacts.
The phone’s predictive text input application automatically corrects spelling and other grammatical mistakes as one types texts into the N96. The Bluetooth support of the camera phone allows users to transfer data and videos to and from the handset at about three times faster than GPRS with other Bluetooth supporting devices.

The Nokia N96 double slide camera phone will be available in the markets from third quarter of 2008. The device features a kickstand that allows users to have a hands free viewing of its contents. The phone will be sold with a charger, Bluetooth headset and user’s manual.
