Nokia Ships N79 Active with Polar Wireless Heart Monitor

Nokia today released the Nokia N79 Active that comes equipped with the wireless Polar Bluetooth WearLink heart rate belt from Polar. The Nokia N79 Active will also come preloaded with the Nokia Sports Tracker application, allowing users to record and publish your favorite routes and fitness data on the web. Nokia spokesman doesn’t mention how secured the application is, as this involves the privacy of the users.

Other than the additional heart rate monitoring gadget, and fitness applications, the Nokia N79 Active has all the features of a regular Nokia 79 phone, including a 5.0-megapixel digital camera, MP3 music player that supports Nokia Music Store, FM RDS radio, microSD memory expansion slot.

The suggested retail price is Euro 375. The N79 Active will be available first in Europe. There isn’t any news that when this phone will be available in United States or Asia.
