Nokia Shows super-fast “Explore and Share” wireless data transfer concept
Filed under Nokia

Nokia Research Center in Helsinki today shows a new super-fast wireless data transfer concept called “Explore and Share”. The new wireless transfer technology is so fast that it could transfer an entire music album onto a phone in less than 10 seconds. Although Nokia spokesman said the “Explore and Share” technology is based on new radio technology, we suspect that technology behind it is Bluetooth 3.0 because Bluetooth 3.0 is capable of providing the transfer speed that Nokia shows in the demo video.
In the video, Jyri Hämäläinen, an employee at Nokia Research Center, shows how a mobile phone is connected to “writer”, a prototype that forms a short-range connection and pairs a connection automatically with the mobile phone. After that, the “writer” instantly shows all the relevant music albums, apps, games, videos, and extras, which could be transferred directly to the phone in a flash.
