Palm Centro, the smallest PDA phone up to date, runs on the latest Palm operating system instead of Windows Mobile operating system. The Palm Centro has a 312 MHz Intel XScale and 64 MB of internal memory space, which is just enough to store about 10 songs. However, user can buy some upgrade microSD cards to add more memory space on the Palm Centro. Other features of the Centro PDA phone include a 1.3-megapixel digital camera (no Flash), a built-in MP3 digital music player, a full QWERTY keyboard, and a beautiful LCD Touchscreen with stylus and handwriting support.

  1. Mike D. Says:

The headphones are not in stereo, sound only comes out of one of the speakers. Why would you want to put music on your phone if you can’t even listened to it through headphones?

  2. Joe B. Says:

It also has infrared. I have tried it.

  3. M. Reeds Says:

  4. Sarah Bee Says:

does anyone know how to take a sound sent through a text and set it as a ringtone???

  5. blaze... Says:

This phone sucks… the ring tones are crap, the music is not in stereo, the graphics are total B.S and worst of all it would not connect to the internet without using sprint…and u cant set ur mp3 as ringtone,u cant send multimedia over the bluetooth, as a matter of fact u cant do anything with the phone without connecting to sprint who charge $17.00 and then 5 cents per kilobite…. am so pissed

  6. Renee Says:

I just recently purchase this phone and i love it, contact Att they have the deal on them, transfer your service there. Definately download mini tones, it enables you to transfer your mp3s to ringtones and such. Go through the user guide on the phone, it is extremely helpful.

  7. candice Says:

i downloaded mini tones and have no idea how to put the music on there, i have song on my phone but cant set them to ringtones, can sum1 help me?

  8. QTee Says:

I have had this phone since May 08 w/ Sprint and it is AWESOME! I upload ringtones for FREE through http://www.myxer.com/
You can upload songs from your computer and customize them on myxer then text it to your phone! I have ALL the new songs as my ringtones!

  9. Angel Says:

Thank you QTee so much for the info!! I absolutely love myxer.com.

Here is another link with helpful info that I found for Palm & Treo:

    http://www.palminfocenter.com/news/9606/how-to-add-mp3-ringtones-on-your-treo/

I haven’t tried it yet -I’m just passing it along.

  10. Angel Says:

By the way, to review the phone, I just got it and I am in love with it! I play with it everyday and I always learn some new function or cool thing I can do. I can get directions just about anywhere (GPS) and if I want to know where the closest pizza parler or gamestop is I just type it in and I get the number, address, directions. The option to call from the results or add them to my address book. I love it! Also, I can make mini videos and send to people but there is a size restriction so that sucks. The only thing the phone doesn’t do bc Sprint got rid of the service is voice dial which sucks but that’s Sprints fault, not Palm’s, lol. So far anything I can think to do with my phone I can do it. I watch You Tube videos and edit PDF documents. I am like a kid who got everything she wanted for Christmas. I a upgrading from a very basic phone though so maybe the people who hate it need it for more fancy things. For me it is definitely an upgrade and I love it! All in all I would give my new phone 10 stars out of 10. I’m so sure it can do much more than what I’ve already encountered and I look forward to discovering all the greatness that is my new phone:). Nuance seems like it would be awesome if I had the phone thru a different provider since sprint got rid of their voice features. It allows u to dictate messages and verbally add items to your calendar. Very cool “phone”.

  11. Kyle Says:

Yea, im having problems trying to add mp3s onto my centro as a ringtone (from my laptop) since i didnt pay to connect internet to my phone. Can you help me?

  12. Mel Says:

    Hey KYLE:

I had the same problem…I bought a micro SD card from Amazon.com ($5) and synced the application musictones (free from the site below) to my phone. Now all my music is converted to ringtones, and I LOVE IT. Hope these two sites help:
