Pantech Design Contest

March 27, 2008 – Pantech recently sent out a contest to Korean Universities in which students were invited to come up with new and creative designs for mobile phones. Pantech even offered that winning designs could be manufactured and ready for distribution as early as 2010. After many submissions, Pantech chose five winners that stood apart from all the other amazing designs submitted. We have a few shots of the winning phones for the world to see. Haven’t these students really out done themselves? We have here pictures of the winning designs. Most all of them feature minimalist designs that stays true to the latest trends in mobile phone and cellular device design.

Pantech is a leading provider of mobile phones and an idea like this is truly wonderful. Offering these students the opportunity to design a cell phone for distribution may be the window of opportunity or motivation that several students needed to realize where their design passion lies. Hopefully we will be seeing more designs from these students in the future as they seek out careers in the ever growing mobile phone industry.
