Qisda Corporation Teams With Motorola to Offer 3G Devices

April 9, 2008 – Market sources are sending us new information about possible Motorola phones that will be available to the public before too much longer. Sources expect Qisda, a Taiwan-based company, to begin shipping large volumes of 3G mobile devices to Motorola in the third quarter of this year. These new handsets, manufactured by an ODM provider, will feature a candy bar shaped design and will be featuring platforms from Freescale, several exciting multimedia functions, and should be priced less than $100. This could prove to be an affordable option with all the features users love. Motorola and Qisda will be offering users mobile devices that support telecom service providers in Europe and Asia. These mobile devices will later be made available to North America as well.

First introduced to the mobile market as BenQ and re-named Qisda in 2007, this company among a leader in ODM/EMS providers and offers customers options in items such as LCD monitors, projectors, printers, car infotainment, as well as other portable technological devices. Founded in 1984, this Taiwan based company has manufacturing sights in China, the Czech Republic, Mexico and Taiwan. Qisda has been deemed a spot in the top 5 manufacturers of technological goods. In 2004, Qisda began production of car navigation products and now their newest venture, mobile phones in cooperation with Motorola, will only work to increase their success.
