User Reviews

  1. Shervin Says:

You are incorrect about the lack of voice-activated dialing. It not only has full Voice Commands, but also speech to text dictation (Voicemode) for text/pix/flix messages! Works well after training. The voice commands don’t require training. Very nice phone. Outer screen should be a bit sharper and brighter like the predecessor but it’s a great phone!

  2. David Says:

The Sch U900 as of 1/31/08, from Verizon, does not transfer videos from the micro SD card to a PC using the USB cable. This is a big thing to me. When is this coming?

  3. Birdman Says:

I have a Flip Shot from Verizon and have no problem transferring videos from my micro SD card to my PC using the USB cable. It works great. My phone has no problem with MP3 files, but it will not recognize WMA files at all. Not sure why.

  4. Gellebenes Says:

The battery life is less than 4 hours of talk time. If you use the camera or text message a lot, it is incredibly less than that. Standby time is also incorrect. I do love this phone and the fact that it flips around but I just wish the battery was better.

  5. Tito T Says:

I love the phone… I like’d it so much that I switched from AT&T to Verizon. I had (Still do) the S.E. w810i and it was great but I think this is better even though the w810i came w/ the USB but you can always find that sort of stuff online or your dealer… Sometimes the talk time depends on your location. And of course something that is a build for multimedia is going to last for less time than it states. Just buy a better battery and your fine….

  6. Mrmimis06 Says:

Just got the flipshot. Anybody know if I need drivers in order to use a data cable with flipshot and pc? I connected it and it prompts for drivers. Where can I get those?

  7. Breezin Says:

  8. Megan Says:

I have had the flipshot for about 3 weeks now I came from T-mobile with the sidkick lx and I love my verizon service and my phone it does everything i need and take great pics I don’t even have to take my digital camera with me everywhere. I have not had any problems transfering photos, videos, or mp3.

  9. Steve Says:

Why do I need to use a USB cable to download my videos to my p.c.??? Why can’t I just remove my 2gb MicroSD card and plug it into my p.c. and download it? Shouldn’t it be that simple??? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  10. Newbie02 Says:

I am having trouble unterdstanding the camera in my flipshot? How do I Zoom to take pictures? I tried the buttons on the top, but they are not working. How do I unlock them? Any help would be appreciated.

  11. readtheBook Says:

zoom only works if resolution is 1024×724

  12. chris85 Says:

phone is cool. love the music controls. only thing is there is no software i can use to transfer custom ringtones.

  13. Great phone! Says:

Does everything great except the calendar doesn’t work well at all. I’ve resorted to using Google calendar to send me email reminders for calendar items. This works well with a text plan. So, an acceptable workaround.

  14. Dason Says:

i personally love this phone. its the total package. i just wish there was a way to remove the filters verizon put on it that keeps some websites or video from being accessed.

  15. Raven Says:

I love this phone! Easy to use. Fun to play with!

  16. Ali Says:

I have this phone, and I love it but I am disappointed that the battery dies quickly when you text a lot, like I do; or when you use the camera often. I just wish the I could record and then set the recording as my ringtone, instead of buying songs and the service.

  17. tay Says:

you can record your own ringtones…u have to record the song in my sounds then send it to yourself and then go to options and press save as rngtone..then it is a ringtone

  18. Ben Says:

Tay…I’ve been in contact with Verizon tech support and cannot get the ringtone to appear. I’ve sent files to myself and clicked on “save to ringtone” but it never shows up in the my ringtones folder…is there something special that needs to be done?

  19. Carmen Says:

I have the same problem, Ben. I’ve done all I know to do. Everything I download goes to sounds. ..nothing can be set as a ringtone. I was hoping someone had the magic answer. I’ve sent the tones to myself. I’ve sent them to Pix Place and then to my phone. No luck… can anyone help>

  20. tay Says:

go to new pic message…then go down to sounds and click it…press record new..then juss click ok wen ur done recording it and send it to ur phone number…it should work..thats how i get my ringtones without buying them

…..now im havong a problem syncing music form my pc to my phone…can anybody help me…i was trying to use the cord that came with my nieces juke phone…but still it work sync music

  21. Theresa Says:

I put the memory card from the camera into a san disk and could get the pics but could not get the videos to go to my PC.

I also put the memory card into an adapter and into the printer and could get the pics onto computer but not the videos.

Now I’m going to actually get a USB cable to see if I can download the videos. I think I do not have the right software for the videos to download.

    Anyone have the answer?

  22. Theresa Says:

I still cannot download the videos that I have taken with the phone/camera to the PC. How is it done?

  23. Theresa Says:

I used the usb cable and I still could not download the videos.

  24. Joshua Says:

The phone’s menu system is convoluted and there’s no help. I accidentally turned on sound somewhere such that when I dial a number, the phone announces the number to everyone within hearing distance. Trying to find any control involves hours of poking around with nothing that makes sense. I’ve discovered many features that I didn’t know existed under menu selections that don’t relate to the service. Samsung should find intelligent life to construct the menu structure. Actually, dumb it down a whole lot.

  25. randy Says:

there has to be a way to set ringtones i want and have there is no options. when i receive one and try to set it, the dang thing wont let me every time i try

  26. jess Says:

If you take your micro sd card OUT, and then redo the whole save sound as a ringtone, it works….. I had the same problem. It also said memory was full when I tried to record a sound.. I had a brand new 4gb card. I had to set it to save recorded sounds on the phones memory, not the external card. weird..

  27. Bobby Says:

For Custom ringtones. First you have to change option under Settings&Tools –> 9 Memory –> 1 Save Options –> 3 Sounds –> Select Phone Memory and hit OK.
Now you can save MMS as ringtones.

  28. Petro Kaaron Says:

I just got the flipshot also and i am haveing trouble finding out how to zoom in using the camera. Everytime i try a little maqnifying glass with a red slash pops up.

  29. millhouse_18 Says:

i cant figure out how to take off the back cover so that i can put a memory card in it

  30. millhouse_18 Says:

i cant figure out how to take off the back cover to put a memory card in it

  31. kpkpkp Says:

you just have to pull it hard millhouse, it kinda feels like it will break but it doesn’t.
