I recently traded off my V3MRazor, for the Juke. I had nothing but, issues with the Razor. I bought everything that supposed to have made it an MP3 player. The software never worked. After ten hours of technical support. I called it quits! I returned to the verizon store, and saw the Juke on display. After getting information about the Juke. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I have had it for 3weeks and have had not one single issue. I love it! It has been the best phone I’ve had so, far. It came with everything needed to use it as a mp3 player and no software needed. It was plug and Play! That is awesome, considering not everyone is computer literate. The battery life is impressive too. I look forward to Mobile Action to come-up with some additional software for adding ringtones and pictures!
Just got my juke today and oh my goodness this is the cutest, sweetest phone I have ever heard. Putting my songs on it from my computer was so easy and the quality of the sound is outstanding. Wonderful product!
I just got my Juke today and it is the bomb. This phone is com,pact yet full of features. The only, and I mean the only disappointment is that you cannot use your songs on the MP3 portion of it to use as ringtones. Other than that, I have had nothing but great service and awesome quality. Thanks for making a phone that works Verizon.
Awesome phone. Small, great reception, good battery life, and great sound quality. Camera is kinds weak though, only the old school .3 megapixel though. Catches people’s eyes and is all around a great phone.
You can use your mp3s as your ringtone, my cousin did it for me, he did some computer geek stuff and presto! I was able to use any song i downloaded. Not sure how he did it but it works.
pls let us know ho whe set up the mp3 as the ringtone!
I just purchased the Samsung Juke yesterday because I had a Razor and i had problems with it freezing up and everything so i had to switch out. I am loving the phone. I haven’t had any problems. I have downloaded plenty of music on it and i still have more room. The only downfall is you can’t use ya music for ringtones. other than that, Overall the phone is great.
This phone is freakin’ awesome! I love it. It’s a great phone that meats my every need.

I bought this thing like a month ago…and it was all good until it froze on me…most of time when I access the music player and play a few songs, it freezes…like when you try to go to another artist it says “No mp3 file found”… that is not cool…if i was you i would get the chocolate by LG…even though it freezes as well… at least it has external memory and video…so you can put music and record video, what more can you ask for?…

I bought two for my twin boys for Christmas. They will freeze randomly (esp. near computer equiptment or the Wii) while playing songs. I’m not too happy about it and looking for information.
Amazing phone. I got it last week, and already it’s done wonders. I talked to my best friend for 2 hours nonstop, then i texted and listened to music for another hour after that, all on a single charge.
The music quality is outstanding. It’s so sleek, it’s ubelievable. Greatest phone ever. Def. beats the chocolate.

I just got this phone, and I wasn’t crazy about it at first, but I love it! I have a mac computer, so I was worried that the music wouldn’t load onto the phone, but it’s really very simple! It’s easier than using normal mp3 players. My dad was so against even getting a camera phone, but he loves this phone! I believe he already loaded three cd’s on it, and we’ve only had them a couple hours. It’s a great phone for anyone!
Well for the first thing, and the only dissapointment, is that you can’t set up your songs as ringtones. That is the only disappointment so far for me. I LOVE it, and as does my sister.

to get mp3′s as ringtones, you could use a program like bitpim, it will make the files smaller and place them on the phone as a ringtone. very easy to use.

My daughter and I just got these phones before Christmas and love them so far. Would like to figure out how to get my own ringtones onto them though. Can’t find a web browser on it as the above info states, can’t find the info in the manual either. Any ideas on that? I found a site to make your own ringtones (makeownringtone.com)from your own mp3 files but I don’t know how to get it to my phone.
Naomi, your sounds can be set in a pic message to yourself and click on options when it comes back to you and click set as ringtone.
Not a great phone for people with big fingers, so keep that in mind.
You need Windows Media Player to help load up songs to the MP3 player of the Juke. Just connect up and use the device connect tab to upload them to your phone… then SYNC.
Rumor has it that you can send a sound file to yourself as a pix message, then save it as a ringtone… good luck with that, I’ve been trying for a few days to figure this out and I’m not seeing where people are getting this info for this specific phone (as far as making your mp3′s ringtones).

Well I have found that you can get Ringtones on your phone by sending the file to (111-111-1111@vzwpix.com) replacing the 111-111-1111 with your number Sometimes it wont work but I have had a pretty good ratio of ringtones go through I just cannot for the Life of me get custom WALLPAPERS on my Juke If anyone has a idea Id love to hear it cause I have not been able to send it the same way…HELP Please

I own a juke and it is great. Danielle, to move songs from itunes you need to:
1. Open itunes.
2. Right click the song you want on windows media player.
3. Right click the file.
4. And finally click add to windows media player list, new playlist, or sync list (if the phone is connected).
Hope I could be of some help.
Not sure how to sync fron Itunes, but to transfer music fron Itum=nes to Media player: Open both programs, place windows side by side, grag song fron Itunes to Media player. Thats how I do when I download from Limewire. And if any one figures out how to make mp3′s a ringtone or a ringback, let us know!!
Great phone overall.
To save your song as ringtone,
1) you need to first downsize it, less than 300Kb. To downsize your song, you can use Wavepad that you can download for free or any other music edit programs. Save it as mp3.
2) if you have verizon wireless, send yourself a pix message at [our telephone # include area code]@vzwpix.com. Make sure to attach your ringtone as attachment to the email.
3) Once you received the ringtone on your phone, go to Options, save as “ringtone”, and presto! you have a ringtone.
Anothe option is to use myxertones.com to send your ringtone.
I’ve heard you can use bitpim to edit ringtone and pic but I don’t think bitpim has a program that’s compatible with Juke right now. Go to bitpim website to see any updates.

I absolutely love this phone. I just got it a couple days ago, and I already have most of the features figured out. It’s such a great and sleek model, but its jam packed with a whole bunch of awesome features. Currently, there isn’t a known way to use your own MP3′s as a ring tone, but other than that, it’s an awesome piece of technology.
The phone goes well with boys or girls, it really doesn’t matter.
It has awesome speaker quality, and a good amount of space for songs to be placed on it, and there’s plenty of fun hidden things to do with the keypad and sounds. However, the camera could use some adjustments, and maybe it’d be better if you could change the plate colors.
The ring tone selection is poor right now, so look forward to having only clips of awesome songs rather than most of the song itself.
Other than those slight entertainment flaws, it’s an awesome phone and I recommend it highly! <3
Okay, so I’m trying to make the CTU ringtone my ringtone. I tried to send the mp3 of the ringtone to my phone using 111-111-1111@vzwpix.com, replacing the 1′s with my area code + cell. I attached the ringtone file to the email. It was under 300 Kbps. I never received the pic msg. on my phone, though. What am I doing wrong?
Try not using the -’s.
i just got the juke and i am pretty impressed. it is surely not a girl phone, it reminds me a lot of an older style mp3 player will all the functions of a cellular telephone. but it worked for me to send ringtones to my phone(using ##########@vzwpix.com). also i had no problem syncin music to the phone, though i did have to downlaod the vcast music manager free from verizonwireless dot com. i cannot figure out how to get my own recordings as ringtones though. dont listen to the naysayers, this phone is excellent quality, a great music player and for any gender!

I just got my juke yesterday, and I love it. I only ask: Can music from limewire go on to the juke? I had an ipod, but itunes wouldnt load so I got the juke. Now I wonder how Im gonna do this. any info is GREATLY appreciated.
to make your own ringtone:
1. Go to my sounds
2. record your song you want as a ringtone
3. Save it then send it to yourself
4. When you get the sound as a picture message go to options
5. then scroll down and press “save as ringtone”
6. You then just set it and you have the ringtone you want

well, yes you can put music from Limewire onto the Juke. I have.
All you do is plug up your juke then take the songs you downloaded from Limewire and copy & paste them onto your samsung juke folder. thats what i do and it works fine, but i still haven’t got them to be ringtones yet….

It worked for me and I have about 5 customized ringtones so far on my Juke. The only downside is that you have to wait for them to send it to you. There were many times where I had to wait 5 to 12 hrs to get my ringtone sent to me but its worth the wait because IT WORKS!!!! I’m with Verizon.
this phone is so freekin awsome. you can get your songs as ringtones, its easy just convert the song to WAVE format and go to http://www.vzw.com go to mesage and picture message to your phone you need to upload the songs from your computer but it has to under 3 megs its totaly worth the trouble

I’ve had this phone for a month.I bought it because I needed an mp3 player and the rest is a bonus for the price.I love it,it does way more than I expected and I couldnt be happier,I’m even satisfied with the camera.To do custom ringtones and wallpapers just download bitpim.open help and follow the directions…make sure you follow the directions in notes under phones in the help list for the juke.works great,I’ve done several ringtones and wallpapers for mine.

Replying to the second below comment, If you recod a song as a sound, you can picture text message that sound to yourself and save it as your ring tone! I love that feature!

Good phone. Surprisingly sturdier than my old Razr (but what isn’t? lol). The first day I got it, I played tennis, left it on the court and the sprinklers were on it for a good 5+ minutes. No damage! The phone is user friendly, can easily have music added on to it and easy to get custom ringtones.
I would give it a 4.5/5. I wouldn’t give it the whole 5 because you have to hook it up to your computer and erase the hard drive to get your MP3s off. You can’t even get just one song off. I’ve also had songs not recognized by the phone so they don’t play…
PS I use a mac and can still easily add music onto it
Ok, so for everyone wondering how to get one of their songs as a ringtone on their phone, I have found the solution.
1) Go to http://www.myxer.com/
2) Click MAKE YOUR OWN
3) Follow the instructions
4) It will tell you that Verizon doesn’t allow you to send ringtones directly to your phone, and it will give you alternate instructions. Follow these to recieve your tone in a text.
This works for images as well.

You will need the Samsung Drivers and a program called BitPim. download it and the help function will tell you this:
1. go into settings and tools on your phone and press pound (#)
2. the password is all zeros
3. press enter and scroll down to MTP Settings
4. change that setting to MSM, press enter and hit end
5. The screen will say, “Music Sync Not Allowed” This is when you plug your phone into your computer and run BitPim.
Press the “find phone” button and it will scan your USB ports for your phone. Once it finds it, Just follow the directions the program provides for you in the help function.
I got my juke for christmas ’07 and it was working great until it got stomped on and thrown onto the ground. (Don’t ask.) And now I can’t get any service, recieve or make calls, or get/send texts. I took it to the verizon store, but the line was moving very slowly so I left after being there for an hour. Please help me!
I’ve had my juke for… around about a year, and I have had zero problems with it, except for a few cases when specific songs I downloaded onto it would cause the music to freeze while playing, in which case all I had to do was figure out which song was causing the problem, and take it off.
It took me a little getting used to, because I tend to rough handle things a little and I was terribly afraid I’d break it, but it’s taken a good amount of abuse and still works just perfect. It’s been dropped on our stone tile floors I don’t know how many times, has fallen out of my pockets on to concrete, got chucked across the room once or twice, taken trips down the stairs, and all there is to show for it are some scuffs in the paint.
The sound is good, especially for such a little phone, and it holds a decent amount of music. It’s extremely easy to use, and has a good battery life. I adore the thing.

ive had the juke ever since it first came out theres a bunch i dont like about it first theres how its so small that if you ride a bike or something with it in your pocket it falls out. then the mp3 to ringtone problem. texting sucks i hit the 1 button to much and to easy.
the swivel part of the phone breaks so easy when you try to open it the other way on accident. and it opens up in your pocket when you jog or something of that sort. and to answer the were can i get ringtones just go to the tv and find one of those commercials were it says text such and such to such and such for this ringtone then do those.
Ok so I love my juke. I’ve had close to no problems, except for the ringtone thing. i have tried so many programs but the problem is i have no texting (its all blocked, i cant send or recieve anything but calls) and i cant get bitpim to work so please help?

when i try to put my music its say “music player is being initialize try later…” and when i check my memory capacity its say 0 what the hell can i do i try all

To get your music as a ring tone FREE!!!!: 1st. google BITPIM (caps for recognition)
2. don’t bother selecting your phone
3. go to media, then ringers
4.go to white square to the right
5. rightclick, select “Add…”
6. go to the file where your music is
7. Click convert, wait a while
8. crop the music to where you want your ring tone
9.click ok, if it says it’s too long, you can either redo or screw it
10. attatch your newly made file ring tone on an email and send to:
^^^-^^^-^^^^@vzwpics.com… The “^” is your phone number, YES use the hiphens.
11. wait a while, maybe a minute for a text
12. save the file that just got sent as your ring tone!!!
GRATZ free ringtones, might take awhile but it’s great quality, can’t complain.
