I have this phone and i hate it. It does hold up i have dropped it from 10 feet about oops and i have been thrown around but i am unable to hear the person i am talking to with out putting it on speaker. When i record videos there is no sound and where you plug the charger in the cover is broken. I recomend this phone for older people who only make calls.

I hate this phone. I hate the user interface, which is less intuitive than any cell phone I've ever had. Occasionally it will decide that I can only dial 'emergency numbers' and I cannot dial or receive calls. Removing the battery and SIM card doesn't correct the problem. P.O.S.

Piece of crap, DO NOT GET.
Not unless you plan on not talking into it with your mouth. If you put your head to close to it it disconnects. And i don't know why it has so many music features WHEN IT CAN'T EVEN SET RINGTONES OVER 300KB.

What an utter piece of shit.

I like it. The phone is rugged and has taken quite the beating, gravel airport runways, etc. The lens cover on the camera has not been scratched even though it has scraped across concrete. Must be some special plastic or glass. I have had this phone since May 07 and it works great. Battery life is as good as above. I would make the decision again, based on the phones available. Mostly because I am hard on stuff and this phone has proven that it can take a beating. The beefs I have with this phone are:

1.) They did not include the USB cable. While I connect fine with Bluetooth to my two notebooks, I would rather transfer files directly from my server which does not have bluetooth. For the price of the phone they should have included the cable. At one time Samsung included USB cables with their printers. They stopped that too, and if any Samsung mkting guy is out there . . . GO BACK AND DO THAT AGAIN, it created market differentiation.

2.) Listening Audio quality for calls is below average. This is typical with Samsung and if you have used other Samsungs, and they were ok for you then this is not a big deal. If Phone audio quality is important to you then this is NOT the phone for you. I frequently ask people to repeat themselves when I am in the car with the window open. The outbound audio quality is excellent, only the listening quality is affected. In fact some times people have asked me why I am breathing heavy when I wasn't.

3.) Less important little things. The outside window is useless. You cannot get it to light up w/out opening the case, or once it is in MP player mode. This sucks, because it would be nice if you could just hit a button on the side of the phone and see the time on the outside in big clock letters. I am almost 50 and my eyes are going, so I flip and then close to see the time. Mildly annoying.

4.) It has all these BUY ME value add options in the menu. The browser is not fully WAP compliant. It works for the cell phone demo we put together for logging into a site, but we had to tweak it. The data rate is FAST in 3G~! LOVE THAT.

5. There is no way to save pictures directly to the micro sd card that I could find. So I have to take pics and then move them to the card. This has not been such a big deal. The picture quality is pretty good and I have managed to capture some "Samsung moments", that printed out ok.

There are other pluses and minuses too, but you can pick from above what is meaningful to you.
