October 27 – Imaging that one day you could use your cellular phone to video-chatting with your friends, writing text message while watching high-definition TV shows, browsing the internet at super fast 7.2Mbps, and protecting your private data using face recognition technology, how cool would it be?
Sky / Pantech in Korea has made all our wishes came true by releasing “Design Differentiated HSDPA cell phone (a.k.a IM-S240K) supporting 7.2Mbps” dedicated for KTF carrier this week following curved line design “Dolphin Slider”, to drive to expand operations in 3G cellular phone market in Korea. The Sky IM-S240K is applied Sky’s design aesthetics pursuing simple and refined style to try design differentiation with minimalism design.
The Sky IM-S240K phone adopts 2.1″ wide QVGA LCD to facilitate enjoying video telephony, territorial DMB programs and other various multimedia contents. This handset is very convenient since it supports multi-tasking and you can make text chatting while using video telephony, send and receive messages while watching territorial DMB programs, and download wireless Internet contents while listening to MP3 music.
This Sky cell phon supports video telephony, WCDMA global roaming, 130Mpixel camera, MP3 player, electronic dictionary, document viewer and multi-tasking features. Estimated selling price is approx. 400 thousand Korean Won ( $440 US dollars).
