Although US is still trying to catch up 3G technology, the rest of the world, especially Asia is going to roll up 4G (WiMAX) cell phones in year of 2008 which is just 2 months away. When come to WiMAX world, it is almost impossible to classify cell phone, UMPC, Tablet PC or even laptop. An example is the Nokia N800 which is a tablet PC that is designed for fast internet browsing, viewing and editing office documents, watching DVDs, and playing music. The Nokia N800 not only supports Wi-Fi, but also operates in WiMAX network.
Samsung, currently the most innovative and creative cell phone maker in the world, have two WiMAX cell phones that are ready to launch in 2008. They are the Samsung SPH-8100 and SPH-8200 which both runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC operating system.


The world’s 2nd biggest cell phone maker, Motorola, whose is losing market share to Samsung daily, unearthed MOTO WiMAX PCMCIA Card which can be slide into your laptop.

Samsung, on the other hand, released a USB WiMAX drive that also supports HSDPA network.
