Recieved a Sony Ericsson g900 for my birthday yesterday. I love the phone! Great features, nice camera. Love the fact that it has a keypad and touchscreen, this is great for me as I sturggle to text with an on - screen keyboard :).

I did have a slight problem with the Chinese stuff. When I used the keypad it came up with all these Chinese symbols, but we eventually sussed out how to change it when typing a text (theres a weeny button in the top right corner with a symbol on- this is chinese mode- but if you click it it takes you to english mode).

The organiser is good to, it has a built in office system with things like spread sheets, notepad etc, ohhhh and sticky notes :D

I would recommend this to anyone who needs a nice day to day phone, or a business person!

Just purchased a few days ago - As loyal SE buyers for over a decade we are quite disappointed in SE this round. My wife's W890i is WAY better in several critical areas which are important to us:
1) Mac syncing (iSync v3) fails - SyncML Client keeps dropping form the pairing services - this is required to do any syncing at all with mac's sync utlities.
2) Can't browse the phone via bluetooth - can only send pics from the phone vs fetching them via the mac.
3) Problem deleting some pictures taken with phone - haven't figured this one out yet.
4) Noticeably shorter battery life - W890i and G900, same batt inside, pulled G900 off the charger this morning, already missing 1/3, her w890 is still full charge on day two!
5) No 3rd party sync tool works completely - SE's own plug-in and Feisar's use SyncML Client thus fail, Mark/Space's Missing Sync seems to work somewhat but chokes on the photo transfer, and costs $40.

None of the above issues happened with the W890i. Only the Feisar plug-in was required for complete functionality on the W890i.

I'm becoming convinced the Symbian OS (at least v9.1 UiQ3) just isn't bug free.

Though, JUST TODAY Feb 4, 2010 the Symbian Foundation is opening up the entire source code for the entire platform available to everyone, I think it's still too late the the G900. Too bad and a waste of cash on my part.
