Sony Ericsson today announces the “slim beauty” – Sony Ericsson M608c cellular phone that is optimized for messaging purpose. The Sony Ericsson M608c is slim but packed with advanced features. This cell phone has features of touch screen and Chinese character handwriting recognition that makes typing Chinese character a lot easier (if you have tried to write in Chinese, you know how hard it is). Another key design to ease users in messaging is the ergonomic design of the M608c cell phone that makes it easy to operate with one hand or two and gives versatile options on how to perform messaging tasks. The combination of large dual function keyboard and touch screen handwriting input makes messaging input extremely easy

The Sony Ericsson M608c phone is powered by Symbian OS 9.1 and UIQ 3.0. Because of this, you can add functionalities to this cell phone by buying applications that runs in Symbian OS. The Sony Ericsson M608c measures only 15mm thick, it is one of the slimmest devices of its kind available.

The Sony Ericsson M608c is built slim without comprises its multimedia features. For such a slim device the M608C has an impressive 80MB onboard memory and an additional 64MB Memory Stick Micro™ (M2™), which is a new ultra-small recording media designed for highly compact mobile devices, is provided in the box. The M608c is the first Sony Ericsson product to feature this new memory card. Besides that, The Sony Ericsson M608c features the 3-way Jog Dial and a 2.6″ QVGA screen, capable of handling 262K colors

However, this cellular phone is just made for Chinese in Main Land China (Sorry for Chinese in other countries!)
