SonyEricsson tried to steal the show of iPhone in this moth (iPhone will be shipped in June 29) by announcing the SonyEricsson W960 Walkman phone that comes loaded with 8GB of memory space which is pair with what iPhone comes with. However, the SonyEricsson W960 Walkman phone doesn’t have sexy design and outlook like iPhone. The W960 still has the candy-bar shape and design.

The SonyEricsson W960 measures 109mm×55mm×16mm and weights 119 grams. It isn’t the slimmest phone that you can get in the market, but considering its integrated features, the W960 music phone is one of the slimmest multimedia phones in the market.

The W960 has a pretty impressive 2.6″ QVGA (320 x 240 resolution) TFT Screen, 3.2-MP digital camera (which makes iPhone shame on its integrated 2.0-MP digital camera), USB 2.0 port, 128MB Ram, and 26MB Flash ROM.

Just like its ancestor, SonyEricsson W950, the W960 walkman phone is also powered by Symbian 9.1 operating with UIQ3.0 interface.

SonyEricsson claims that the W960 is able to play 25 hours of music continuously. With the new released SonyEricsson “Media manager Pro” software, you would be able to upload 1GB of songs in less than 3 minutes!

Besides that, the W960 also support 3D games, movie playback, RSS feeder, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync to check your corporate email accounts, and opening and editing office documents.

With all these features packed into one device, the SonyEricsson W960 Walkman phone is something that we all are excited about…..until we know its selling price – $799 Euros.
