Synaptics has introduced the ClearPad touchscreen solution that will be available for the Sasmung YP-P2. The Samsung YP-P2 is a multimedia player that features an MP3 player, an FM radio, and picture and video viewing options. The YP-P2 is Bluetooth enabled so that handsfree options are always available. The touchscreen solution provided by Synaptics allows users to access options directly on the screen with very few clicks on the keypad at all. The ClearPad touchscreen also allows users to move quickly and easy through options accessed via the touchscreen.

The solutions offered by Synaptics’ ClearPad also features gesture recognition so that in order to access some of the options, all users have to do is make a gesture at the phone that will be recognized by the phone. Complete movements on the touchscreen are no longer needed. Gestures may prove to be a very useful new solution, especially for use of applications such as GPS while users are on the road and needing to take advantage of everyone handsfree option available.

The Synaptic ClearPad sensor is located just under the clear plastic case of the device in which it is installed. It is located at the top of the LCD display. This placements makes the device more durable. This new touchscreen option offers users something new when choosing their touchscreen phones. The gesture recognition solftware recognizes both simple and complex gestures so that users have more options here as well. This new technology from Synaptics is available in the Samsung YP-PS multimedia player.
