Tour of Computex 2008 Cell Phone Expo

If you can’t fly to Taiwan to attend the Computex 2008 Mobile Phone expo, here are some of the coolest pictures taken in a tour of the Taiwanese cell phone manufacturers’ booths. The rise of HTC(High Tech Computer), a Taiwan-based manufacturer that make award-winning cell phones, such as HTC TouchFlo, in cell phone market in recent years surprises everyone in the world. In fact, there are more cell phone makers based in Taiwan that manufacture exceptional high quality and high-tech phones. The list includes Asus, Mio Technology, E-Ten, and Gigabyte Communications.

Asustek M930
The M930 features a sliding QWERTY keyboard, the device flips open sideways like an eyeglass case. The M930 phone runs on Windows Mobile 6 OS, it supports EDGE/GSM and HSDPA connectivity and features a 2.8-inch main display screen and 2-megapixel camera.

Asustek ZX1 Lamborghini

E-Ten’s Glofiish X610
The E-Ten’s Glofiish X610 runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and is a GSM/EDGE quad band device. It has built-in GPS, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a 2-megapixel digital camera. The X610 is planned to be released worldwide in July for around US$650.

Mio Leap K1

Unlike other Windows smartphones, the Mio Leap K1 runs on Windows CE 5.0, a OS that hardly used to powere a mobile phone. The Mio Leap K1 phone features displays on both sides of the phone, a 2.6-TFT touch screen for PDA functionality, a 1.69-inch TFT OLED screen for phone mode, and a 2-megapixel camera.
