Everybody’s eyes focus on iPhone when it was released just barely weeks ago. One thing that people didn’t notice is how cellular phone giants, Nokia and Motorola react after seeing the Steve Jobs showed off iPhone on the stage in MacWorld 2007. It was very obvious that their butts got kicked big time by Apple. Like what Steve Jobs said, the technology behind iPhone is a few years ahead of Nokia and Motorola technology. Well, Apple is definitely going to storm the cellular phone industry in June 2007 when iPhone is available with Cingular Wireless, however, Nokia and Motorola should learn from their mistakes that they made in 2006. Nokia and Motorola should
1) Be more creative
While Apple was researching for technology that make better cell phone, Motorola was busy marketing the same old RAZR phone. Look at how many versions of Motorola RAZR V3i with same design (Motorola RAZR V3i Lime Edition, Motorola RAZR Maxx, Motorola RAZR V3i Dolce & Gabbana, Motorola RAZR V3i LEVI’s edition). Creativity wise, Nokia was doing better. At least they have Nokia N95 which packed with multimedia features. However, adding features such as digital camera that snap blur pictures and MP3 player that can store only 10 songs doesn’t make a good cell phone.
2) Save Your Reputation, Market What Is Really Good for Users
Nokia and Motorola manufactured so many cell phones that all of them comes with promising digital camera features and high Megapixe, but turned out to be a “toy” that for fun. Many users were excited when they saw the advertised cell phones with 3-MP digital camera and they thought they don’t need digital camera anymore. When Steve Jobs introduced iPhone, he just briefly mentioned that iPhone came with 2-MP digital camera. Why? Because he knew it wasn’t something that users should be excited about.
Alright, HandCellPhone.com do wish Nokia and Motorola can catch up Apple’s technology as soon as they can. However, please don’t make the same mistakes in 2006. We hate to see anymore Motorola RAZR special phones.
